“What would you do in 10 or 20 more years to deal with the global “GLOBALIZATION”?” By Finna Chrisna T.R / XII A6 / 15

Globalization comes from English language, the word “globalization” consists of two words namely “global” which means world and “lization” which means process. Globalization means a global process.

The process of globalization is influenced by many factors, including :

• Development of information and transportation technology

Internet technology makes buying and selling transactions between countries easier. The example is an E-commerce business where we can transact without having to come to the seller’s location.

• International economic cooperation

      The ease of making an international trade agreement has resulted in a continuous process of globalization.

• Ease of delivery of goods and services

Communities between countries can send goods and services to one another. For example, Korean fashion products are quite popular in Indonesia society. When Indonesian peoples use products from other countries, there is a process of assimilation or cultural integration between countries.

• Reduced conflict between countries

The increasing awareness of the world community about the importance of international relations has resulted in a reduction in conflict between countries. When between countries conduct international relations there is globalization.

• Natural resources are reduced

There are a number of natural resources that will definitely experience a reduction every year. For example petroleum and precious metals. This makes several countries invest in other countries to extract resources in the country. For example Freeport’s gold mine in Papua, Indonesia, which was dredged by other countries.

In general, globalization is related to overall changes in the economic, industrial, lifestyle, and other aspects of life. Globalization can have a direct impact on the life of a nation’s society universally. The impact of globalization can be positive but it can also be negative.

The positive impact of globalization are :

• Information technology is developing very rapidly
• Easy to get personal needs
• Easy to the development of knowledge
• Information dissemination is faster and easier to obtain
• Easy to communicate with other people around the world
• Increasing relations between countries in the economic sector

The negative impact of globalization are :

• The potential of crime is increasing because it imitates events in other countries
• Society is more consumptive than productive and tends to lose creativity in itself because it imitates trends abroad
• The emergence of various inaccurate information is called “hoax”
• Some people become more individual and selfish
• The emergence of social inequality in society because people are competing to enrich themselves and not care about their surroundings

In the next twenty years, 2028, Indonesia will enter a golden generation where youth in the highest peak and in this leadership. Besides that, the government launched independent Indonesia since 2025. Long term development vision Indonesia until 2025 is advanced and fair. When Indonesia dreamed of wanting to be Indonesia is independent in 2025, it is clear that in that year is the time young men and women to do. This makes me think, as a student, I certainly have goals. And realizing the ideals I realize is not a thing can be carried out without effort. Hard effort and a lot of sacrifice will certainly be me do it.

Realizing that the challenges of the future will motivate themselves with the motivation right is the first thing to do. Being a successful human being does not mean economic orientation. Depending on the individual, on what purpose is the focus of the person that. And what I want to achieve is to be a useful human being, around. Certain not just economic problems. But also character and personality. With this purpose, I must start now. My first step was to become a person high school students with integrity. Not cheating, honest and respectful time is a concrete example of the first step in achieving my dreams. For this reason, I will try to do it from today. Since I realized that I am the generation that will continue the struggle.

The second thing I will and must do is design the future appropriately. All something human cannot determine. In reality God's plan is the one always happen. But God also does not ask humans to stay silent and surrender to his life. Designing the future is the second step that will eventually make someone increasingly understand what his purpose is. Another positive side of designing a life is that someone will know what he will do. A person will be more organized and structured in doing every action. And no again doing things that are not important. In essence, know priorities. But life is not as easy as a plan. Not as smooth as the design on paper. The twists must be enjoyed. Being a person who has a goal does not mean having to be ambitious and obtrude. Nor is it a person who is rigid and always in front of a book.

For me, enjoying the twists and turns of the journey to the next 10 years is also important. One will not feel the beauty of life without beginning it with positive thoughts. Every day for the next ten years, it must be lived with gratitude, and enjoy it by staying focused on goals. As a young man who is expected of this nation, my dreams are great, and people are sure too have their dreams. Then small steps as described above will extraordinary impact. My motivation is clear to be a better human being. Become someone who is proud of the family. Become someone who scent the nation. And I'm sure can. Soekarno once said, "Give me 1,000 parents, I will undo Semeru from the root. Give me 10 youths, I will surely shake the world”. Therefore, in the next 10 years, I want to be one of 10 youths who can shake the world.
